It's one of those stories that can be interpreted in a million different ways…it's just a little thing and very AU (Aizen is Ichigo's foster father, and Ichigo grows up in Las Noches), but it's really got under my skin. This author has a frightening talent for such things. Check out Qismat's lj; s/he's got a few more strange little Bleach stories and writes for several other fandoms.

Obviously, now, when he had questionable control over his balance and impulses, was the perfect time for his long-standing crush on Gin to horribly assert itself. One drunken night. One fateful encounter. One very important question.

>>: I think that painless_j's already said all that needs to be said about peppermint quartz's work, but here's my two bits: it has its flaws, but it's damn impressive. Most of her stories are set in the same universe, a 'verse where Aizen and Gin love each other very much but are terribly sociopathic, and it's rather lovely and very, very scary. Caresses, First Contact, and Touched all chronicle the same events, but they're from Kira, Aizen, and Gin's respective points of view. The latter two are about Gin and Aizen's relationship, and as such start much earlier than Caresses, which is primarily about Gin and Kira's relationship.
Read this first, and if you're intrigued I recommend starting on Touched and doing First Contact last. I find that the more of this stuff you read, the harder it is to put down. Be warned that Gin and Aizen's stories are terribly disturbing in parts. If these stories had weathered the attentions of a good beta they'd be absolutely mindblowing, and it makes me weep that they never will. As it stands, they're still pretty amazing.
