Mercy by Koi
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lex/Clark
Warnings: darkfic, m/m, dub-con
Summary: 'What is truth?'
>>: The premise: Smallville!Clark is in college, and he and Lex are still good friends. One day Lionel comes to Lex with evidence that Clark isn't human. With the realization that Clark has been lying to him since they first met, he can only suspect the worst...
It's about the nature of relationships and trust, and it's absolutely brilliant. This'll make you think.
Five Things That Never Happened On The Internets by Mary Borsellino and Zee
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: gen (sort of)
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Just because superheroes are real doesn't mean that people don't write fanfiction about them. Unfortunately, Tim and Kon are very aware of this.
>>: XDXDXD Yeah, so ... this is pretty much Tim and Kon chatting on MSN, sending each other bad fanfiction of ... each other, interspersed with bits of fandomy things you might expect to see in the DC-verse. It's a depressingly accurate (and hilarious) depiction of fandom. I'm not sure whether I wish it were shorter or longer. *gg*
The Compass That You Gave Me by Zee
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: one-shot, au
Summary: 'It's not necessary to be Superman to be a hero, but Dick has trouble getting the new kid to believe that.' Superboy ends up in Blüdhaven after breaking himself out of Cadmus Labs. Can Nightwing make a difference in the young superhero's destiny?
>>: Dawww. This is well written, well characterized, and the budding relationship between Dick and Superboy is really sweet; something between mentor and friend and "older-brother-except-not-really." There's a shortish sequel, Take The Black Off A Crow, in which Superboy's developed a crush on Dick. <3
A New Life by Elissa Alejandra
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Superman/Sarah, Jareth/Sarah
Warnings: crossover
Summary: 'Sarah has been accepted to a prestigious acting academy in the city of Metropolis, where she falls for a new man in her life. But the Goblin King is never far behind...'
>>: This mostly takes place during the movie Superman II. I admit, this was rec'ed more for novelty than quality. However, it's an entertaining read if you like that sort of ridiculousness. The sequel to this story, Guardian, is Batman/Sarah. XD
And Then the Heroes Came Along by Roga
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Warnings: one-shot, crossover
Summary: 'You would think that grown men would be able to interact with Superman and Batman without turning into thirteen-year-old girls. You would be wrong.'
>>: In which Superman and Batman get dropped into another reality, and are found by the cast of Stargate Atlantis. Too funny. XD
Damaged Goods by Coldfiredragon
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Slade/Dick
Warnings: m/m, one-shot
Summary: Something breaks in Robin's mind after Batman dies at the hands of the Joker. While the rest of the world is still reeling in shock, Slade steps in to put his bird back together. However, no amount of repairs can make a broken thing exactly as it was before, and Slade isn't exactly interested in putting all the pieces back where they were.
>>: This is a bit rough, but it's a fun little story (well, if you like that sort of thing.) It's not as dark as it sounds, really.
Delightful Drabbles by Wynja
Rating: PG - NC-17
Pairing: Slade/Robin, Red X/Robin, Slade/Robin/Red X, Red X/Speedy, others
Warnings: m/m, implied m/f, noncon, coercion
>>: Toon-verse. The title is a LIE. I don't think there's a single drabble in there, even under the 'less than five hundred words' definition. This is a collection of one-shots. The quality of Wynja's writing tends to be quite inconsistent, but some of it is actually fairly good. (And more importantly, really hot.) Some of my personal favourites are the Red X/Robin epic For Better or for Worse, and the sequel and alternate sequel to Touch (Terms of Endearment and In Sickness and in Health respectively), a Slade/Robin 'verse which starts out with sex pollen and a fateful encounter and gets only slightly classier.
Dinner and a Movie by Katarik and Yami no Kaiba
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Slade/Robin
Warnings: one-shot, rp
Summary: Toon-verse. Robin takes Slade to see that scene in Star Wars that illustrates why master/apprentice relationships don't always work out; however, they find themselves more interested in sorting out their relationship than in watching the movie.
>>: I generally avoid RP 'fics' as a rule, but this one's really not bad.
Drinking Games by mildredmilton
Rating: R
Pairing: Slade/Dick
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: Dick decides to get wasted after he's fired from the BPD; Slade decides he could use some company.
>>: Love this take on Dick's psychology; I can totally see it.
Everything and Anything by Katarik and Yami no Kaiba
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Slade/Robin, Red X/Robin
Warnings: m/m, one-shot, dubious consent
Summary: Hero. Villain. You of all people should know that there are no such black and white distinctions. I'm tired of the constraining restrictions that word puts on me. I want to have *fun* and if Slade's way is the more amusing path... Well. Then perhaps it's time I switched sides. Mumbo Jumbo hits Robin with a spell that turns him into a—wait for it—catboy! With his inhibitions magically suppressed and the instincts of a cat guiding him, Robin goes looking for his favourite playmates...
>>: Toon-verse. Ah, man. This is lovely. It's hot and rather in character, but the mandatory angst isn't at all bittersweet, and playful!Robin is just a treat. ^_^
Moving On by astolat
Rating: R
Pairing: Lex/Clark
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: After being turned down (for marriage) by Clark once again, Maxima (hot ticket from a faraway planet called Almerac) moves on to his rather more agreeable arch-enemy.
“Not that it isn't wrong on about five billion levels that she's swapping you for Luthor, but isn't this a good thing?” Wally had said. “I mean, she gets off your case and takes him with her-two for the price of one.” Everyone else's opinion had been pretty much in line with John's “Good riddance.”
Batman came to the railing and stood next to him watching silently. Clark stood it for a few minutes and then snapped out, “Glad to be seeing the last of him?”
“Almerac has an expansionist warrior culture and a substantial fleet,” Batman said.
Clark waited for him to take that somewhere, but apparently that was all Bruce had to say. He turned and disappeared back into the hallway.
>>: In other words, “Lex conquers the galaxy, in STYLE.” This is freaking brilliant, and funny as hell. I'm sure I don't need to tell you to check out everything else astolat's written after you finish this.
Hanging Works by Lucy
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Bruce/Dick
Warnings: m/m, au
Summary: 'Two tickets to a circus never used, a little boy forgotten, and a chance meeting.'
>>: In other words, this is the story where Dick was raised by Catwoman. Interesting and fairly lengthy.
How To Marry a Millionaire by jamjar and Petra
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Nightwing/Bruce, Batman/Dick
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Batman takes having a secret identity very seriously.
>>: This is fun. XD Bruce and Batman adamantly refuse to acknowledge their alter egos, and poor Dick's left to go along for the ride.
Kryptobiology by Meret
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Warnings: m/m, one-shot, crack!fic
Summary: In which Clark's penis starts talking to him, and it only wants one thing...
>>: ...Yeah. XDXD;; Smallville-verse.
Looking Glass Country by astolat
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Summary: 'Where the grass is greener.'
>>: This is cool. ^^ Smallville!Lex (or more generally, businessman!Lex) swaps places with his counterpart in a world more closely resembling the comic books (mad scientist!Lex). Their responses to each other's worlds are quite interesting, as are the eventual results.
Mao by Petra
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Slade/Dick
Summary: "I'm changing the rules," Slade says, sounding impatient. "Every word will cost you another kiss." He runs his fingers through Dick's hair again, and when he speaks, the edge has left his tone somewhat, but not entirely. "You're a good-looking kid. Not so much a kid anymore. And I'm not asking much, here. Four kisses, and you can go wait outside for Starfire."
>>: Quite fun. ^^ Followed by In Flagrante Delicto and A Shift of Understanding (NC-17).
Redwing Universe by Katarik and Yami no Kaiba
Rating: R
Pairing: Redwing (AU Nightwing)/Slade
Warnings: m/m, au
Summary: In a world where heroes are villains and villains are heroes, Redwing bathes in blood to draw the attention of his God.
>>: A collection of one-shots in which Dick's a psychopath and Slade has a conscience. Very nice. Wish there was more.
Slash Generator Ficlets by Yami no Kaiba
Rating: PG to NC-17
Pairing: Various; mostly Robin-centric
Warnings: m/m, f/f, ficlets
>>: Toon-verse. A series of ficlets based on random prompts. Filled with Awesome.
The Final Break by Laura
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Slade/Dick
Warnings: one-shot
>>: A sad but sweet little story about how Dick deals with Tim's death, and how Slade deals with Dick.
The lost are like this by Sarah T.
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Slade/Dick, slight Rose/Dick
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: 'Sometimes Dick doesn't know he can stand to fall.'
>>: Takes place while Dick was working for Slade. Nicely done.
The Very Secret Thoughts of Clark Kent by Viridian5
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lex/Clark
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: Clark decides to go goth.
>>: *snk*. Smallville-verse.
Three Times Dick Was Responsible For Slade Wilson's Death by Samantha Quinn
Rating: R
Pairing: gen, Dick/Slade
Warnings: ficlets, m/m
Summary: Three ficlets, rather dark. ;_;
To Conciliate a Tiger by Ruby Nye
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Slade/Dick
Warnings: m/m
Summary: 'Dick makes a deal. Slade gets a bargain.'
>>: PWP-ish. Followed by A Darker Stripe and Twist in the Tail.
Uncle Einar by shrift
Rating: R
Pairing: Lex/Clark
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: When Lex agreed to attend the Kent family reunion he had no idea what he was getting into. As it turns out, neither did Clark...
>>: I love stories with punchlines. XD
Small Print by RobinRocks and Narroch
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Slade/Robin
Warnings: m/m, chanslash, noncon
Summary: What if Slade had been a little more … aggressive during Robin's apprenticeship? Violated in body and mind, Robin struggles to preserve his spirit. It's not wise to enter into an agreement without full knowledge of the terms, and the price for keeping Slade's hand from that trigger may be higher than Robin could imagine.
>>: Toon-verse. Dark, disturbing and violent, this is intense. The writing is far from perfect, but this is definitely one of the best stories of its type out there. Read if you're a fan of noncon and abused!broken!dark!Robin; otherwise you might not want to touch this. The bull**** psychology (particularly the misuse of Stockholm Syndrome) might be irritating for anyone who knows anything about psychology, but it's also one of the story's main attractions. The set-up we're left with at the end of the story is terribly interesting, and something I'd dearly like to see explored. But honestly, it's all just one long train wreck (in more ways than one.)
1000 Days Series by Samantha Quinn
Rating: R
Pairing: Clark/Dick, implied Clark/Bruce
Warnings: m/m, wip
Summary: 'Chronicles Clark and Dick's relationship from the time Dick is 15 until he is 18.' Puberty sucks. Especially if you're a not-so-heterosexual sidekick with an emotionally cut off father figure, and you happen to be friends with the object of an entire nation's wet dreams. This whole 'teen hero' business really ought to come with counseling...
>>: This is one of the nicest 'growing up' stories I've ever read. First crushes, teen angst, Batfather issues and friendship, this is very well done.
A Kink in Continuity by Samantha Quinn
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Tim/Kon, Evil!Clark/AU!Lex, others
Warnings: m/m, dubious consent, ncs
Summary: Tim wakes up in an alternate universe where Lords Kal and Lex rule the world and Tim is their son's concubine. The mission? To persuade Kon to turn against his parents and help the rebels take back the planet. Unfortunately, no one bothered to explain anything to Tim beforehand, and just keeping anyone from realizing he's not who they think may be more than he can manage.
>>: Nicely done.
Betwixt Truth and Madness by The Belligerent One
Rating: R
Pairing: Lex/Dick, slight Bruce/Dick
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, slight chanslash (Dick is 17 and too pretty for his own good)
Summary: In which Lex finally manages to get a solid one-up on his old 'friend.' And even better, in this instance the act is nearly as rewarding as the results.
>>: Takes place in a world where Bruce and Lex are old 'friends' from school. One day Lex is at the manor for a drink, and by a lucky twist of fate he happens to meet Bruce's 17-year-old ward…alone and unsupervised. ;) Not much to it, but it's a fun little story.
Broken Bird by bradygirl_12
Rating: R
Pairing: Bruce/Dick, Dick/others
Warnings: implied noncon, one-shot
Summary: 'Dick will do anything to save Bruce.'
>>: A brief, disjointed little piece in which Bruce and Dick are in captivity together. The feelings that come through are perfect and sweet, the angst is angsty, and Dick is pretty. *explodes*
But For The Grace: Five Things Which Fortunately Never Happened To Dick Grayson by Ruby Nye
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen, Dick/Tim, Dick/Slade, Dick/Barbara
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: Five ways Dick's life could have ended.
>>: Well done, though deeply depressing.
Conflicts Of Interest by Pru
Rating: R
Pairing: gen, slight Clark/Lex and Conner/Lois
Warnings: one-shot, au
Summary: What if Lex had found out about Conner just after his 'birth'? What if he had decided to keep him?
>>: This is a nicely characterized story told from the POV of nine-year-old Conner Clark Luthor, from his quest to find out why he doesn't have a mom to his first crush to the oddities of being Lex Luthor's only (and much adored) son. The sequel is Visiting Hours, which takes place when he's fifteen. Madelyn's written a one-shot based off the 'verse, Valley Of Fire.
Reconcilable Differences by astolat
Rating: R
Pairing: Lex/Clark, Clark/Lois
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: Lex steps in to claim his responsibilities as Kon's father after an accident, and suddenly Clark's life is a lot more complicated...
>>: This is sweet. ^_^ Everything astolat does is gold. The sequel is Vacation (Tim/Kon).
Psychobabble by Pru
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Clark/Lex
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: Clark had known from the beginning that taking AP Psychology was a bad idea, but he'd never expected it to turn out like this. The Hatfield-Berscheid experiments had ruined his life, and he hoped that Hatfield and Berscheid were very happy about that. Not only had they destroyed Clark's innocent, pure love for Lana Lang and polluted it with doubt and mired it with questionable intent, it also made him really...uneasy about...Lex.
>>: Just lovely~ Be sure to check out Pru's other stories too; they're all fantastic.
A Batclan Christmas by aiyokusama and Vespertila
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Summary: Getting the entire Batclan together is nearly impossible, and on Christmas? It would take a miracle! With a little help from a certain determined butler, however, this year such a miracle just may occur...
>>: You wanna save this one for around the holidays; if anything will rouse your Christmas spirit this will (I wish I'd read this last month; it's a bit too late! XD) It needs some betaing, but this is wonderfully heart-warming. I really want to see some fanart of this, actually...

>>: XD
The Last Temptation of Alfred by David Hines
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: 'At a butlering convention, Alfred has a moment of weakness.'
>>: A humorous account of Alfred's small revenge on his employer.
