Watching Harry by Gateway Girl !
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/various
Warnings: wip, voyeurism, m/m, f/f, m/m/f, m/m/m etc etc
Summary: 'The twins' orgy broke through Harry's brooding over the death of his godfather, but he still has issues to settle, and the Order is dealing with a mysterious problem that no one will tell him about. Fortunately, he now has plenty of ideas to keep himself distracted.... Ron, both worried and fascinated, goes to great lengths to keep an eye on him.'
>>: This is what you might call an 'epic PWP.' XD It starts with An In Body Experience, a one-shot that takes place the summer after Harry's 5th year. Harry's at the Weasley's and he's having trouble coping with what happened at the Department of Mysteries. The twins decide to help him deal with it by introducing him to sex ... during an orgy with the old Gryffindor Quidditch team. It works rather better than they'd hoped (not that they're complaining, by any means). Unbeknownst to them, Ron followed them to the "reunion" and discovered that he likes to watch. Watching Harry builds on these themes throughout the rest of Harry's summer and into his 6th year.
I'm not normally a big fan of PWP, but this is actually quite fun. It does have a plot, really ... it just mostly revolves around Harry having lots of sex. Love Harry's characterization, for so many reasons I can't explain them all here. GatewayGirl is wonderfully talented though, so I shouldn't really be surprised. Try the Finder's Fee series for some awesomely hot Snape/Harry and Blood Magic for her take on Severitus (I should mention that I don't actually like this one, but it comes highly recommended by other people.) Or just go to the list of her fics and click on whatever looks interesting.

Tempus by Ravenna C. Tan
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/not!Draco, not!Draco/others
Warnings: m/m
Summary: 'Students at Hogwarts have always been warned about corridors that appear and disappear. Did you ever wonder where they go? Or when? Harry thinks he is late to his seventh year potions class, but he turns out to be more than seventy years early.'
>>: So, Harry goes back in time and becomes acquainted with one of Draco's ancestors, and to his surprise they get along swimmingly. Ravenna's vision of Slytherin House is quite fun, and Draco's great-grandfather is a fairly interesting character.

Once Upon A Stormy Life by cara del sol
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Draco, Lucius/Harry
Warnings: au, one-shot, m/m, slight chanslash
Summary: '...And Tom Riddle? Was loved.'
>>: This is one of those wonderful stories where the author made just one or two changes to canon somewhere in the timeline, and just ran with it. The plot is simple, but I love the characters — especially in how they compare to their canon counterparts. It's a bit funny and a bit painful, and kind of subtly brilliant, really.

House Colours by Sarka
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Warnings: au
Summary: Harry and Draco may hate each other, but if the Boy Who Lived doesn't master silent incantations it could spell bad news for everyone. As head of the DA and the only student at Hogwarts with experience in certain types of Intending Magic, the task of tutoring Harry falls to him.
>>: This is a rather neat AU in which Draco was sorted into Gryffindor, and Harry and Hermione are Slytherins. The writing's solid, and the characterization is quite interesting.

Stars Never Lie (a Cinderella Story) by persepolis130
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Albus/Scorpius
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, au
Summary: 'Disguised as a girl to escape a life of servitude, Scorpius is forced to attend the annual Spring Festival, where the Imperial Prince's heir is searching for a wife. When an ill-mannered servant boy discovers his secret, Scorpius flees, leaving behind a single golden shoe. Can he evade the Prince's heir, who's fallen in love with the elegance of his tiny feet? And why does every animal he sees claim to be his dead ancestor?'
Things are better this way, really, I tell myself. It makes sense that the boy is nobility, as my Father's son could never have a taste for servants. I'm nothing like Pansy, working up a desire for any man who crosses my path. And I'll hardly come forward to claim the shoe, so I have nothing to worry about. In his search, he'll certainly find some other girl that pleases him just as much and forget all about me. I'm safe. Everything will be fine.
Oh, who am I kidding? No girl can compete with me! He'll search until the ends of the earth to find me, go door to door if he has to! And who but I could fit into such a tiny shoe?

>>: Whoa. This is set in an AU based off of old China, you know, back when ladies bound their feet and everyone was sexist. It's very tongue-in-cheek and involving, and generally quite interesting. The exaggerated societal values will make you cringe, but don't let that put you off.

Snakes and Lions by GatewayGirl
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Summary: When Ron and Hermione start dating, Harry starts feeling left out. After accidentally leaving the Chamber of Secrets open, he ends up taking up correspondence with someone just as lonely as he is. A friendship soon develops between them that he enjoys more than he'd have believed, but is this really someone he can afford to trust?
>>: This is a lengthy and fully enjoyable read. I love the friendship that develops between the protagonists; it's natural and believable in a way that's much too rare. GatewayGirl's done a bunch of good HP stories; see her lj for a full list of them and the WIP sequel to this, Teamwork.

Ouroboros by Miggy
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: au, one-shot
Summary: “Hi, Ron,” Harry hesitantly offers when he finds himself behind the boy on the way to dinner. “I guess things didn’t really work out right, huh? And I was looking forward to rooming with you…” He trails off when Ron looks at him with disbelief, like starting a conversation is akin to saying turtles should have wings. It quickly morphs to deep disappointment. Ron turns back around without uttering a single word.
>>: This is probably the best 'Harry is sorted into Slytherin' story I've ever read. Certainly, it's the most realistic. It focuses on Harry's relationship with Draco, from their Sorting to after they leave school. Each character is truly a product of his environment, just the way he should be. By the same token, however, be warned that this is not a fun story.

The If Sieve by C'est What
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Summary: 'An If Sieve lets you see how things would have unfolded if somebody had made a different decision at a particular time.'
>>: This is excellent. For reasons that even he doesn't entirely understand, Draco believes that he and Harry should have been friends. He uses the If Sieve to see what would have happened if he or Harry had chosen a different path at various key points, hoping to find evidence that they could have been friends if things had been different. The scenarios Draco sees are quite believable, and the writing's solid.

The Semblance of Peace by Maeglin Yedi
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: all combinations of Voldemort, Harry, and Snape
Warnings: m/m, dubious consent
Summary: 'Voldemort is finally dead, or so the wizarding world believes. Unfortunately, Harry knows better.'
>>: Good stuff~ Maeglin Yedi's written a frightening number of stories in the HP fandom, many of them terribly dark. This one balances the darkness quite nicely with the surprisingly pleasant relationship developing between Harry and Voldemort, and is quite enjoyable. Also check out The Soul Adores, which is a similar kind of thing.

For the Public Good by blamebrampton
Rating: PG
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: 'Harry is loaned to the Muggle government to assist relations between the two governments after the London bombings. When his counterpart in the Communications team comes to him with evidence of a plot to expose wizarding Britain, he is all ears. And only in part because the messenger has such a familiar voice.'
>>: Nicely done! Apparently the author was trying for angst but it kept coming out humour. It ended up with a nice tone of realism, and is both serious and rather funny.

Got Balls? by Kamerreon
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: All Harry ever wanted was for people to treat him like a normal human being. But when he tries to reach out to an underclassman he barely knows after a mishap with the Quidditch try-outs, he's appalled to realize how unusual it is for him to interact with anyone outside of his small circle of friends.
>>: Very nice! A good heart-warming story about friendship, and reaching out to your fellow man etc etc. ^^

And death shall have no dominion by snakeling
Rating: R
Pairing: Severus/Harry
Warnings: m/m, au, one-shot
Summary: It was a boy, a little older than himself, maybe sixteen, Harry thought. He was wearing the same Slytherin uniform as Harry. A curtain of hair hid his face as he bent forward to read Harry's textbook. 'Harry finds himself shunned by all of his house-mates but one.'
>>: A nice little piece about what might have been had Snape died that day when Sirius pulled his little prank.

And Just Plain Wrong by Amanuensis
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Draco/Harry, Lucius/Harry, Lucius/Draco/Harry, Snape/Harry, Voldemort/Snape/Harry, others
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, m/m/m, f/f, m/f, chanslash, noncon, bestiality, toys
Summary: Voldemort has won the war and his favoured Death Eaters have recieved the privilege of becoming 'teachers' at Hogwarts. The Light children are forced to endure many terrible and humiliating 'punishments', and as the figurehead of the Light Harry is subjected to the worst of it. He tries to hang onto hope, but with each new torment his spirit is broken a little more...
>>: This is a classic. Dark, dark, dark, but absolutely brilliant (this is Amanuensis, after all). I recommend reading Juxian Tang's sequel, Damage Control, afterwards to lighten things up a bit.

An Eye For An Eye by Isis
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lucius/Harry
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, noncon
Summary: He did not regret killing Voldemort. Nor did he regret killing Bellatrix, who had caused Sirius's death two years before. But he'd never intended to hurt Narcissa Malfoy, who had tried to save her sister and been caught by his spell, burned in a pillar of fire she hadn't the time to save herself from. 'Lucius invokes an ancient wizarding law; Harry pays the price.'
>>: Like forced marriages? This is one of the best I've seen. Dark and angsty, though not so overwhelmingly that it takes away from the story.

A Year Like None Other by Aspen in the Sunlight
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen, some Draco/Pansy
Summary: Harry had gotten a bad feeling when he received a letter from the Dursleys, but he had no idea that a chain of events was about to be set off that would change his way of thinking, his life, even his magic. An alternate sixth year, revolving around family (in both loss and gain).
>>: I find that this epic drags on a bit, but it's well written and has won a couple of awards and been translated into several languages. This is one of the best Snape-adopts-Harry stories there is. The sequels are A Summer Like None Other and A Family Like None Other, which is still a wip. There are also a few side stories on her profile.

Book of Shadows by Lux !
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Snape, others
Warnings: m/m, m/f, f/f
Summary: Harry's in his final few weeks at Hogwarts. Voldemort is dead, the Wizarding world is safe and happy, and Harry … doesn't particularly care, to be honest. The past few years have changed a lot for Harry, and now “all he wants is to paint and bleed. He doesn't need anything else.”
>>: This is a little rough around the edges, and yes, Harry's emo. But it's rather lovely all the same. The (unfinished) sequel(s) are Shadow Puppets.

En Las Montañas by Furor Scribiendi
Rating: R
Pairing: Lucius/Harry, others
Warnings: m/m, m/f
Summary: When Harry and Lucius' curses collide they're transported to rural Spain in the magical backlash. After realizing that using magic will alert their respective enemies to their location, they agree to a temporary truce while they figure out what to do. Of course, once a kindly old couple in the area agrees to let them stay on their farm and the boys find that they don't loathe each other quite so much as they thought, the truce becomes a bit more permanent…
>>: This story is sweet but not sickeningly sappy, and makes a good light read. I think that Harry and Lucius start to abandon their enmity far too quickly, but it works decently for the purposes of the fic. The sequel is Come the Maëlstrom (rated NC-17).

Harry Potter and the Butcher of Hogsmeade by Yagr of Nar !
Rating: R
Pairing: gen
Summary: 'Harry's schooling gets derailed. Dumbledore's manipulations cause great dissatisfaction among his allies. Lucius Malfoy goes on trial. And Snape is forced to act as a babysitter.' Voldemort's tactics are growing increasingly irrational, Dumbledore is frustrating even his staunchest supporters, and the Ministry's incompetence continues to be a burden on all of Wizarding Britain. In his unique position, Snape is intimately familiar with all three. He was none too pleased when he was forced to help Remus Lupin keep an eye on Harry over the summer, but when it's discovered that Harry's potential may be greater than anyone could have imagined, Snape sees an opportunity to seize control of Britain's future.
>>: The Death Eaters are an aging political party struggling to gain popularity among youths, the Marauders once functioned exactly like a pack of wolves, and Dumbledore is the very essence of a manipulative old fool. This is wonderfully clever and perceptive, and puts a wonderfully original spin on the entire HP 'verse. There is so much I love about this story! However, the slow pace, a tendency to go off into tangents, and an impressive (but sometimes unnecessary) attention to detail can make this a bit difficult to get into. It does smooth out a bit later on, so pace yourself and try to have patience. Also be aware that while Harry seems a bit stupid in the beginning, this has a great deal to do with his youth and inexperience. By the story's halfway point his efforts start to pay off, and people start to take notice.

Harry Potter and the Jealous Husband by Lady K. d'Azrael
Rating: R
Pairing: Voldemort/Harry
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: Harry had survived the final battle because Voldemort had a mind to keep him as a catamite. Somehow Harry had gotten revenge in a bizarre and spectacular way by becoming a nag.
>>: OOC and bloody hilarious. Followed by Lord Voldemort and the Shrewish Spouse and Lord Voldemort and the Ill-fated Dinner Party.

In Blood Only by E.M. Snape !
Rating: R
Pairing: gen, Harry/Tonks
Summary: 'Snape is Harry's father. No one is happy to hear it.'
>>: Brilliant. From the first page to the last, this is solid. The characterization, the relationships, the way the story unwinds; absolutely beautiful. Severitus and Snape-adopts-Harry stories have been done to death, but they never seem to stay completely in character. E.M. Snape didn't just keep them in character; she did it with nasty, unreasonable, early canon Snape, and a defensive, guilt-ridden Harry still trying to deal with Sirius' death, and by God it works. It may be that not everyone will like this (particularly in the beginning, when more time with Snape is the absolute last thing Harry needs), but to me this will always be the ideal Severitus.

Legacy of Slytherin by Angie Astravic
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
>>: A series of interlinked stories mostly focussing on Harry. Astravic's writing is humorous and intelligent, laced with just enough randomness and triviality to make it realistic in a way that's rare. The companion pieces, An Unusual Specimen and The Slytherin Kama Sutra, are companion pieces that needn't be read in any particular order.
Under the Rose Bush
Summary: Harry unearths a very old letter whilst planting the new rose bush. Snape unearths something similar in the drawer of his bedside table.
An Unwelcome Visitor
Summary: Sirius wants to visit Harry on his birthday, but Snape and the Magical Law Enforcement Patrol have other ideas.
The Serpent

The Bug
Summary: Rita Skeeter searches for a story amongst the wreckage of the Dursleys' home but finds her comeuppance instead.
The Serpent of Lord Voldemort
Summary: Harry's attempt to hide from Voldemort by turning into a snake backfires when the Dark Lord decides he'd fancy a new pet.
Harmless and Easily Domesticated
Summary: Hagrid's been forbidden to expose the class to any creatures of higher classification than XX: harmless, may be domesticated. Unfortunately, this may not be a guarantee that the students are in any less danger.
Christmas Over Azkaban
Summary: Percy's been arrested and sent to Azkaban. Fred and George have a plan to break him out, but they'll need Harry's help...
Slytherin's Gift
Summary: Harry meets Salazar Slytherin, Draco meets Godric Gryffindor, and great irony is had all around.
A Terrible Joke
Summary: Harry gets invited to the Dark Wizards' Ball; Malfoy resorts to double entendre.
The Imbolc Serpent
Summary: After the Dark Wizards' Ball the guests go to see the awakening of the Imbolc Serpent. Harry thinks that it's just a myth, but may be in for a surprise...
The Curse of the Aitvaras
Summary: Harry discovers some side effects of his rather unique condition when one of them interferes with his performance in quiddich.

Memoirs of a Death Eater Whore by Nimori ! *protected entry*
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Sirius, Harry/Snape, Harry/Lucius, Harry/Draco, Harry/Voldemort, Harry/Neville, Harry/Bellatrix, Harry/Lucius/Draco, Harry/Sirius/Neville, Sirius/Neville, Draco/Percy, Sirius/Draco, Snape/Sirius, Lucius/Draco, others
Warnings: m/m, m/m/m, noncon, dubious consent, bdsm, incest, necrophilia
Summary: The rise and fall of Harry Potter. Kicks off with A Year and a Day: Harry is captured and sentenced to be the Death Eaters' whore for a year and a day before becoming Voldemort's personal pet. The stories that follow deal with the consequences of Harry's experience in a beautiful example of how—well, just read it.
>>: Dark, pornographic, and absolutely brilliant. Memoirs!Harry is just terrifying, and I find the whole series to be quite interesting. The irony is subtle but plentiful. ^^

Season In Hell by Cassandra Claire !
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Warnings: m/m, one-shot
Summary: Hogwarts is under siege and everyone expects Harry to save the day. Harry doesn't have a clue how he's supposed to accomplish this, however, so he draws stick figures and tries some of that end-of-the-world sex everyone else has been engaging in. Draco loves Harry. Too bad Harry's forgotten how to love anything.
>>: This is one of my all-time favorite stories. It's dark but humorous, and beautifully written to the very end. Definitely a must-read along with its sequel, After the Flood. Alas, upon her first foray into the world of the published word Cassandra requested that her stories be removed from the net, so you'll have to find it yourself.

The (Happy) Half-Blood Prince by Amanuensis
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen, Harry/Snape friendship
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: A beautiful HP take on Oscar Wilde's The Happy Prince. A heart made of lead, and a Swallow longing for lotus-flowers, and no Mystery so great as Misery.
>>: As always with Amanuensis, lovely.

The Pandora Complex by Nimori ! *protected entry*
Rating: R
Pairing: Snape/Harry
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Snape discovers the internet and starts reading smutty Harry Potter fanfiction. Need I say more?
>>: The humour in this premise should be self evident, and it's damn well executed. It reminds me of all the things about fandom that I find completely ridiculous—and then reminds me why love them all the same. (You can also read it here, though the formatting's not quite so nice.)

The Potter Files by NQDonne
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Draco, slight Harry/Zacharias Smith
Warnings: au, m/m
Summary: 'Private investigator, wizard, thorn in many people's sides. Harry Potter's a jack of all trades.'
>>: This is a 'weird AU amalgamation of post-DH HP canon and The Dresden Files.' Draco's a muggle cop who sometimes brings Harry in to help with the weird cases. 'S fairly well done, though it felt regretfully incomplete to me—like a pilot episode or the first arc of something meant to be much longer, boiled down to the bare essentials needed to draw the reader in and round things off. In other words, this would work better if it was part of some massive AU epic, with filler and several subplots weaving in and out. T'is definitely worth a look, though.

Allouette by Nimori ! *protected entry*
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Lucius, slight Snape/Draco
Warnings: m/m
Summary: A caged bird will sing, if only to preserve his spirit. 'Shared captivity has strange and lasting affects on Harry and Lucius.'
>>: Sensual with a dreamy, somewhat surreal quality and a touch of humour; this is a lovely trilogy and some of Nimori's finest work. (Can also be found here on her ff.net profile).

All Too Sweet to Last by Annakovsky
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: Sixth year ended abruptly when Hermione blew up Hogwarts, forty-five Death Eaters, and Harry Potter in a blast of blue magical flame that could be seen at a distance of thirty miles.
>>: Bittersweet and nicely done.

Prince in a Rose Bower by Yxonomei
Rating: R
Pairing: Tom/Harry
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: 'We thought magic was forever; we were wrong.' A forgotten Prince in a tower, roses demanding blood, and a world demanding sacrifice.
>>: Love the style of this—it's all artistic and pretty; absolutely gorgeous.

And I Get By by Silvia Kundera
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen, Harry/Draco friendship
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: And so he's your friend, except you hate him. And you don't talk, and don't sit next to him at supper, and you shout horrible nasty things at each other across the hallway, but you smile across a nice safe length of space once and a while, when someone much taller and more powerful than you is being ridiculous.
>>: Lovely bit of gen, here.

And Now For Something Completely Different by Silvia Kundera
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Draco/Harry, Hermione/Ron
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: Harry wakes up as a girl. No one (but Ron) seems terribly concerned about it.
>>: XD

Consilium Callidus by Lady K. d'Azrael !
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Draco, Voldemort/Harry
Warnings: m/m, coercion, au, one-shot
Summary: A journey into the old nature versus nurture debate: how would it have affected Harry if he had been raised as a Malfoy? Lucius adopts Harry soon after Voldemort's fall, and changes the course of history.
>>: Lovely. The subtle changes in Harry's character combining inherent traits with his upbringing, the way that affects his behavior and his relationships with the other characters, the way it all effects the storyline; everything is beautifully done. Everyone should read this.

A Single Love by Vera !
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Tom, others
Warnings: pseudo-incest, m/m
Summary: Voldemort's finally dead for good, but much too late: during the war Harry lost most everything he was fighting for. He goes back in time to kill the Dark Lord before he can become a problem, but ends up adopting him instead.
>>: This is another of those wonderful 'nature versus nurture' fics, exploring what might have happened if Tom's life hadn't sucked so much. Just lovely.

A Spell To Turn Tigers To Butter by Amanuensis !
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Snape/Harry, Lucius/Harry
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, chanslash, noncon, bdsm, toys
Summary: Harry is captured by the Death Eaters, and Voldemort gives him to his two most loyal to ensure the boy's continued misery. Though thoroughly broken and subject to the every whim of his captors, Harry may yet again prove to be more resourceful than anyone suspects...
>>: This is one of my favorites of Amanuensis' stories. It's dark but in a really, really good way, and gives me that delighted 'squee' inside that can only be induced by sheer awesome.

As Sharp As Sunlight by Amanuensis
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Severus/Sirius, Lucius/Harry, Sirius/Remus, slight Draco/Hermione
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, chanslash, coercion, mpreg
Summary: Sirius, Harry, and Hermione become prisoners of war following Voldemort's victory. Noting that it would be a waste to simply kill off three of the most talented wizards of their generation, Voldemort decides to breed them instead.
>>: Another lovely one. Isn't Amanuensis just the best?

A Thousand Mirrors by SilverYoukai
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Warnings: incomplete
Summary: While thinking on his desire to protect his friends Harry is unexpectedly sucked into an enchanted mirror. He discovers that the purpose of the mirror world is to make the user strong enough to achieve his or her greatest desire. Unfortunately, the mirrors will do this by trapping him in each of a thousand alternate universes for a year, forcing him to gain the knowledge and strength necessary to defeat the Dark Lord on his own...
>>: This story isn't anything really special (especially since it looks like it'll never make it past the first chapter), but the premise is interesting and I really wish someone would continue this.

A World Not So Black Nor White by Amanuensis
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lucius/Harry, Sirius/Harry
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, ncs
Summary: 'Sometimes you can't crawl out of the Pit. You can only be lifted out.' In which someone Harry should have been able to trust does the unthinkable, and someone who should have sent him to his death may be the only one who can put him back together.
>>: A nice H/L romance, neither too sappy nor too angsty but just right.

Blood by Artemis Luna Diana !
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: incomplete
Summary: One minute he was walking to Hagrid's hut; the next he was thrust hundreds of years into the past, bitten by a vampire, and taken captive by a man speaking an unfamiliar tongue. He had absolutely no idea what had happened, where he was, when he was, or who this man was. And most importantly, he had no idea how he was going to get home…
>>: This is a lovely epic, and it's a shame that it's probably never going to be completed. Worth reading all the same.

Cartographer's Craft by Copperbadge
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Sirius, Remus/Tonks, Ron/Hermione
Warnings: m/m, m/f
Summary: 'In the summer after Harry's sixth year, Harry and Remus uncover a section of the Marauder's Map which has been hidden for the past twenty years, releasing a carbon copy of sixteen-year-old Sirius Black from its depths. As they prepare for the impending war, Sirius must find a place for himself in this new world, Harry must find a way to destroy Voldemort, and Remus must face his own past while trying to build a tenuous future with Tonks.'
>>: AU Year 7. A nice, well written epic.

Can't Be Held Responsible by Amy Fortuna
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: au, one-shot
Summary: Minerva reflects on Harry Potter, one of the patients she helps care for at Hogmore's Institute, and the elaborate fantasy world he lives in.
>>: Short and sweet, strange as it may sound.

Catechism by Dreamfall
Rating: R
Pairing: gen
Warnings: au, wip, various forms of abuse
Summary: 'What if the Dursleys were a bit smarter? Smart enough to turn Harry against magic—against himself? How long would it take anyone to realize how much damage was done, and once it was discovered how could they ever hope to fix it? A disturbing look at a Harry who has been taught from infancy to hate and fear everything he is.'
>>: This is a fairly average fic, but it makes for a nice light read. It hasn't quite made it to the 'discovery' phase yet, and considering how many months it's been since an update, it may never. Ah, well...

City Sickness by kaleidoscope
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Draco, Draco/others
Warnings: m/m, one-shot
Summary: 'Love is drunk and love is blind...' Draco's a rentboy longing for his schoolboy crush; Harry hasn't given much thought to his nemesis since graduating but feels oddly drawn to him.
>>: Bitter bitter bitter.

Double Dare by Silvia Kundera
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Draco/Harry
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: Draco isn't supposed to talk to Harry, but Malfoys don't care much for taking orders.
>>: ...Wait, what? XD I just love Kundera's writing style.

Family Trees by LinW
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lucius/Harry, Snape/Harry, Draco/Harry, others
Warnings: m/m, m/f, noncon, mpreg, chan
Summary: Lucius is seeing his grandson off on Platform 9¾ for the first time when he spots Harry Potter doing the same with two distinctly Malfoyish children. Curious, he pays a visit to his former adversary to get the whole story. “It's unheard of for a wizard to be senile at age fifty two. Surely even you remember that *special* gift your son presented you on your fortieth birthday?”
>>: Lovely storytelling. Don't let the mpreg put you off; this one's worth reading.

Firebrand by Dee
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen, subtext
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: Futurefic. The muggle and wizarding worlds have been integrated, and Harry works for the government stamping out resistance to the new order of things. After Ginny dies he takes some time off to deliver her final letter to a wanted man.
>>: Oh, god. A depressingly insightful look into the nature of humanity. Haunting and just lovely, in the worst way.

Four Funerals and a Wedding by Isis
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen, Hermione/various
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: 'A series of Daily Prophet articles reveals Hermione's strange and deadly...appetites.'
>>: XD

Harry Potter and the Nightmares of Futures Past by S'TarKan
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Ginny, Ron/Hermione
Warnings: wip
Summary: Harry finally defeats Voldemort at the age of thirty, after a long and costly war with the Dark Lord's forces and the death and destruction of everything he has ever known. At a total loss as to what to do with the rest of his life, he comes across an article suggesting that it might be possible to turn back time and do it all over. There's no guarantee that things will work out for the better, but if it means he might be able to save all he's lost he's willing to take the chance. Armed with the knowledge of what could be and what must not be, Harry attempts to alter his past and brighten the future.
>>: S'TarKan claims to write professionally and it shows. I'm not really a fan of Harry/Ginny, but this story is well done and the pairings aren't a main focus in the beginning anyways. I think that what I like most about this fic is Harry's memories of the war; they're interesting and nicely dark. Harry is determined to use his knowledge of the future to keep it all from turning to ruin, but he knows that if he changes too much the timeline will get all screwed up and his knowledge of the future will become useless. Always fun, hmm?

Hogwarts Rehab by various
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/everyone, Lucius/Sirius/Remus, Tom/Lucius, Ginny/Lucius, others
Warnings: m/m, m/f
Summary: By order of the New Council for the Cooperative Socially Conscious Governing Body of Neutral Wizards, Witches, and Other Magical Folk (the NCCSCGBNWWOMF, formerly the Ministry of Magic), Lucius Gaylord Malfoy and Tom Marvolo Riddle, aka Lord Voldemort, aka You Know Who, are hereby remanded into the custody of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, recent founder and Head Counselor of the Hogwarts Rehabilitation Center, until such time as they prove to be respectable members of society and stop trying to take over the world.
>>: Crack, of the best kind. This is a collection of stories by various (awesome) writers including Nimori, Maeglin Yedi, and GMTH. They're all disturbingly hilarious. Harry's a nympho, Ginny has 'identity issues', and the counselors spend most of their time indulging in Counselor Lupin's special brownies.

Hush Little Baby by Vain
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Snape/Harry
Warnings: ncs, chanslash, one-shot
Summary: “Art,” I murmur against the boy's soft skin, barely audible over his sobs. He's stopped struggling, his small, little boy nails scraping uselessly against the stone as his fists clench and unclench. “This is art.” Severus proves his loyalty.
>>: Beautifully done and extremely, well, hot, in that dark noncon kind of way.

Me Boy, You Wolf (or Common Sense is Overrated) by Lux
Rating: R
Pairing: Harry/Remus
Warnings: one-shot, mild noncon, bestiality
Summary: A response to a challenge from Amanuensis: 'For some reason, a Wolfsbane-less Remus encounters young Harry when the full moon change comes over him, and Harry has nowhere to run. Harry instinctively knows that running or fighting will be useless, and to try to avoid the werewolf's bite, tries a submissive pup act. It works rather too well...'
>>: Light hearted and kind of cute (somehow).

Nullifier by Aedalena !
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: wip
Summary: 'Harry Potter is no pushover. He's no hero, and he is definitely no one's pawn. What he is is a nullifier, thankyouverymuch, and he'd like to be left alone.' When Dumbledore offers Harry the opportunity to go back in time to get training from the last known nullifier, Salazar Slytherin, Harry eagerly accepts—on his own terms, of course. An era when no one knows his name sounds like an excellent vacation spot, so he gives his former mentor the slip and goes back alone. Now he's caught in the middle of a war not his own, making enemies from a whole nother time period, having yet more responsibilities heaped on him that he never asked for and doesn't particularily want to honour. Some things never change, and unfortunately, Harry's tendency to draw danger and chaos wherever he goes is one of them...
>>: Love the characterization of Harry in this—he's all cynical and sarcastic, and in the best way. Slytherin as you please, but the innate Gryffindorishness of his youth is still readily apparent. The relationships between the Founders are well done, as are Harry's developing relationships with them (well, mostly Salazar and Godric). Humour, drama, action, angst—it's all here in plenty.

Pet by LinW
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lucius/Harry, Voldemort/Severus, others
Warnings: m/m, noncon, mpreg
Summary: After the Dark Lord takes over Harry ends up as the concubine of the new Minister Of Magic, Lucius Malfoy. Though magically depleted and forced to submit to his new master, helplessly watching his friends suffer similar and worse fates in a Voldemort-controlled wizarding society, Harry finds that hope can be found in even the most dire of situations.
>>: This could definitely use a beta, but it's entertaining enough and the world it weaves is most intriguing in its own way. The future that most readily comes to mind in the wake of Voldemort winning the war tends to be pretty hopeless and dark; this story reminds you that one of humanity's greatest talents lies in its ability to adapt, and that given time even the most unthinkable of conditions can become acceptable as a normal part of life—which isn't necessarily so tragic.

Potterella by Nimori ! *protected entry*
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: James/Harry, Sirius/Remus
Warnings: one-shot, m/m, incest
Summary: “Who are you?” asked Potterella.
“I'm your fairy godfather,” the man said, and blew a smoke ring. “Let's get you tarted up for the ball.”

>>: In which Nimori perverts a classic fairy tale, and makes it into freaking win.

Power by Cairo
Rating: R
Pairing: Lucius/Harry, OC/Harry
Warnings: m/m, ncs/dub-con, incomplete
Summary: Voldemort has been defeated, but the man who usurped his position has won the war. Lord Lucius keeps Harry on as his consort, much to the boy's displeasure. “Feelings are nothing. Power is everything. It courses through your veins and inside you and makes your heart beat. What do you feel when a house elf rushes off to do what you command it to? Or when you make Draco so angry, but you know that he cannot touch you? What do you call that?”
In a small voice, surrendering the battle, Harry whispered, “Power.”

>>: Hot. Lucius is possessive and cruel but obviously cares a great deal for his pet, while Harry balances between the desire to rebel and fear of punishment. I should like it much better, of course, were there to ever be more of it.

Sacrifices by Lightning on the Wave !
Rating: PG to hard R
Pairing: Gen for the first few stories, eventual Harry/Draco; others
Warnings: m/m, au
Summary: When she lightning aimed to take a bunch of overused premises and turn them into something both original and worth reading, and boy did she succeed. The prophecy seems to indicate that Harry's twin brother, Connor, needs his innocence intact to defeat Voldemort, so Lily raises Harry as Connor's guardian and teaches him everything that Connor's too young to learn. He is trained “to keep Connor safe. To always protect him. To insure that he lives as untroubled a life as he can, until he has to face Lord Voldemort again. To be his brother and his friend and his guardian. To love him. To never compete with him, never show him up, and never let anyone else know that I'm so close to him. To be ordinary, so that he can be extraordinary.”
However, they're all in for a shock when Harry is sorted into Slytherin and finds himself parted from his brother for the first time. Harry is determined to stay true to his vows, but with Draco Malfoy trying to force a friendship upon him and a suspicious potions professor making designs on him, that's not going to be easy.
>>: This didn't seem like anything special when I first picked it up, but it's decent at the worst of times and only gets better. (Oh, so much better). It's epically proportioned, likely a good deal longer than J.K. Rowling's series by the end of it. It's packed with plot and action and OCs done right, nail-biting climaxes, and surprising detail regarding wizarding society and the customs native to both pureblood wizards and various other fictional races. It largely centers around heavy topics like politics and the struggle between practicality and principals, and ethics is studied all throughout. It certainly isn't perfect—for me, this brings to mind the saying that good stories aren't written, they're rewritten, but Lightning would have to be crazy (or just really, really bored XD) to put in the time to polish something like this when she'll never make any money off of it. Still, take my advice and give it a fair chance.

Seven Minutes in Hell by furiosity
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Warnings: m/m, one-shot
Summary: 'It's always the Slytherins. Always. Stupid Slytherins.'
>>: This isn't usually the kind of thing I enjoy (Harry ends up playing Truth or Dare with the Slytherins, and finds himself inexplicably distracted by Draco's leather pants), but this is cute and funny and well written and just wonderfully fun. XD

Snatch by didntyoupotter
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Summary: 'Harry is comatose, Hermione and Ron aren't much help, and Draco isn't sure about anything anymore.'
>>: This is a fantastic bit of writing; the style is just perfect.

still life by amalin
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Harry/Draco
Warnings: one-shot, m/m
Summary: Living as a painting is a farce of immortality. It's actually quite uncomfortable, as Harry feels at time that even the air he 'breathes' is thick like paint, but he gets used to it. Still, he'd rather be a ghost. Or really, just dead.
>>: Hauntingly lovely.

The Doll Army by Fern
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: 'Six year old Dora Tonks gets a visit from three Marauders, and her dolls get a new mission in life.'
>>: Eee. This is so ... cute, and realistic, and just altogether terribly well done. Best Peter Pettigrew characterization I've ever seen.

the final kiss-off by Isis
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: drabble
Summary: Snape to Sirius; the anti-S/S drabble. Awesomely quotable.

The Only One He Ever Feared by jjtaylor
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Warnings: one-shot
Summary: You've got it all wrong. We're not the bad guys. Harry begins receiving letters from someone he knows he can't trust—letters which force him to reconsider who he can.
>>: Yes. Just ... yes. The premise is interesting, the style fits the story perfectly, and the execution is flawless. Damn.
