A Nice Guy, Romantic Crap, and Stifler by Matthew Haldeman-Time
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Oz/Stifler
Length: ~4,700 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Stifler decides to prank Oz by pretending to be a girl and talking him into phone sex, but it doesn't turn out quite like he'd planned.
>>: Rather amusing, kind of sweet, and completely obscene. All in all, well done. XD
Only To Her by WithoutHesitation
Rating: R
Pairing: Beetlejuice/Lydia
Length: ~100,700 words
Warnings: au, m/f, slight chan (16)
Summary: 'Just because he was nice to her, didn't mean he was a nice guy. Or safe. Or remotely sane. But as far as he's concerned, what she doesn't know, won't hurt her... Not if he can help it.'
>>: This series isn't for everyone and it could use a beta, but I personally adore it~♥ It's based on the cartoon but is much darker. The Ghost With the Most is no prankster: he's the most dangerous ghoul in the Neitherworld, and getting on his bad side is a sure way to get painfully eviscerated. One dark night he happens upon 12-year-old Lydia sitting in her backyard, and for reasons that bewilder even him, they become fast friends. Can a psychopath as violent as Beetlejuice be reformed with the power of love and friendship? Not in this 'verse, I'm afraid, but his affection for Lydia is very sweet all the same. WithoutHesitation's other stories are also worth a few looks; they take place in a much less morbid AU that borrows from both the movie and the cartoon, branching off into a number of 'what if' scenarios. A couple are Lydia/Prince Vince, which is kind of awesome. XD

Honeymooners by Opal Lynn
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Beetlejuice/Lydia
Length: ~8,800 words
Warnings: m/f, squick
Summary: 'Lydia is older, wedding actually goes through to the end, dealing with the after-effects, yada yada yada. You could even imagine that Beej comes back and just finishes the ceremony years later when he gets out of the waiting room.' And thus, after the wedding came the honeymoon...
>>: *dies* My brain... This story is weird and squicky and somehow awesome. The writing could stand a little editing, but Lynn's work is just delightful, really. Her other BJ story, Beetlejuice Goes Hawaiian, is also worth taking a look at, and she's now written a bizarre and fascinating one-shot called Rigor Mortis which I highly recommend. Do not discount the squick warning, though. Seriously.
Becoming a Lesbian: Megan Bloomfield's Guide for Cheerleaders by Deifire
Rating: PG
Pairing: Megan/Graham
Length: ~2,300 words
Summary: There are a lot of ways to be gay, and none of them are really wrong. Still, when you've just, say, kidnapped your girlfriend from her graduation from compulsory heterosexuality school and ridden off into the sunset, it would be nice to have some idea of what to do next. Especially if you're a cheerleader. So I've decided to make this guide, based on some things I've learned so far.
>>: Cute and funny, much like the movie. ^-^
the sandwich story by Obfuscate
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Length: ~1,300 words
>>: A rather sad story about growing up. ;_; I recommend following it up with Hyperfocused's awesome and totally not depressing C&H story, Transmogrification, to make everything okay again.
The Tiger Song by rabidsamfan
Rating: G
Pairing: gen
Length: 100 words
Warnings: poem/drabble
>>: <3
Rainbow Noir by Jenna
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Length: ~3,500 words
Warnings: crossover
Summary: It's 1952, and Rainbow Land is dead.
>>: I get chills every time I read this. It's freaking brilliant, as is most everything else the author's written.
The Strange and Not Entirely Ineffective Courting of Jon Stewart by Stephen T. Colbert by Sparky77
Rating: G
Pairing: gen, Stephen/Jon canonical ambiguity
Length: ~1,900 words
Summary: "You can't be my running mate, Jon," Stephen said in a rush, like he was waiting for Jon to start yelling.
"Your what?" Jon asked, confused.
"When I'm President, Jon, you can't be my Vice President," Stephen explained, sounding sad.
"Okay," Jon said, not really knowing what else to say.
>>: Astonishingly well done. XDXD
In Camelot by Telanu
Rating: G
Pairing: gen
Length: ~1,200 words
Summary: 'Wilbur Wonka, D.D.S., visits his son's amazing factory for the first time.'
>>: Sweet. If you like this be sure to also read Telanu's other story, Special Recognition.
Second Verse, Not Exactly The Same As The First by Julad
Rating: R
Pairing: Dante/Randall, slight Jay/Silent Bob
Length: ~5,800 words
Summary: It’s the day after Clerks, and Dante is really, absolutely, positively not ****ing coming in to work. Unfortunately, Randall has other ideas.
>>: This captures the voice of Clerks almost perfectly. ^^
Cell Mates by Ellidyay
Rating: R
Pairing: Jay/Silent Bob
Length: ~1,700 words
Summary: Set during Clerks 2; Jay starts talking trash about Obi-Wan, and Randall makes him regret it.
>>: A bit darker than the movie, but overall quite good.
Fibonacci by Pru
Rating: R
Pairing: gen, Greg/Nick
Length: ~6,600 words
Summary: Greg keeps telling himself that Nick has a gun, knows how to use it, probably spent his childhood in Texas learning how to shoot animals and faggots. It doesn't really help since Nick watches Animal Planet and makes friends with gay hookers, and Greg can't even imagine Nick pulling a trigger--all he can see is Nick dead like the body in the dumpster, glassy-eyed and graying, nothing underneath the skin. Nick's missing; Greg worries.
>>: It's been forever and a day since I've watched any CSI, but this is sweet. I don't really remember Greg, but knowledge of CSI really isn't necessary to appreciate this.
Office Politics by Pru
Rating: R
Pairing: Light/L
Length: ~1,900 words
Summary: Granted, Raito is a terrifying, jealous, power-hungry, arrogant sociopath serial killer, but these are all things that L knew the first time he and Raito played six hours of mind games that led to strip poker and somehow anal sex.
>>: ...Completely ridiculous. *chokes*
Lullaby (for the New World Order) by Edmondia Dantes
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: L/Light if you squint.
Length: ~1,200 words
Summary: 'An elegy for the living and the dead.'
>>: Gorgeously bitter. Be sure to check out Dia's other DN stories; they're all like this. If you'd rather start with something less depressing try Endings, another favourite of mine.
Dead Things by rosa_acicularis
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Rose/10th Doctor, slight Rose/Mickey and Jake/Mickey
Length: ~2,400 words
Summary: Jake was the only one who would sit with her while she was drinking.
“What's it like?” he asked, nodding at the mug of microwaved cow blood in her hand.
“It's like pancakes,” she said.
“Really?” he said.
She wiped her mouth, smearing blood on her sleeve. “No,” she said.
>>: In which Rose gets turned into a vampire. This is strange but awesome crack. Take a look at all of the author's other stories; most of them are Rose-centric and quite good.
Bringing the Walls Down by Tangles
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Sam/Dean/Billy
Length: ~20,900 words
Warnings: m/m
>>: So, this is the story of how Dr. Horrible helps the Winchester brothers fight the apocalypse. It takes itself a bit too seriously, I felt (not much of the Joss spirit in it), and the pairing is kinda weird. But it’s still pretty awesome, and Dean’s excitement when Dr. Horrible built him a cool gun (it stops people in time) was adorable. I wish there were more of this, because it’s actually a pretty cool idea.
At the End of the World by aphelion_orion
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Caim/Angelus
Length: ~1,200 words
Summary: 'You and me until the end and forever after. What if Caim and Angelus had been a little more selfish at the end of everything?'
>>: A nice little one-shot re-writing the end of Drakengard I to be a little sweeter.
Abbott and Costello Meet the Rainbow Coalition by shrift
Rating: R
Pairing: D'Argo/John, others
Length: ~2,300 words
Warnings: m/m, f/f
Summary: 'It seemed like a good idea at the time.'
>>: This is a weird little piece in which John and D'Argo get wasted and are led astray by a pair of hot alien party girls. Check out her website for more John/D'Argo and a few other things.
Drop the Soap by Anne Higgins
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: D'Argo/John
Length: ~4,700 words
Warnings: m/m, pwp
Summary: Okay, John, think it through. D'Argo seemed to get off on dominating him, so he'd probably been damned stupid not to see this coming. After all, he'd seen Oz. Plus the big guy was from a warrior culture, common enough in Earth history for such a lifestyle to lend itself to sex with other males. Trouble was, those cultures tended to have a shitload of protocol going along with the sex. For all John knew, if he let this happen, by tomorrow he'd be castrated with a tattoo across his forehead reading 'property of the big guy.'
>>: XD Yeah, this is pretty much a bad excuse for John and D'Argo to get it on. John's inner voice is just about spot on though, if you're open to the idea that John's main reservations about having gay sex with a big angry alien might be purely of the practical sort.
In Over Your Head by PatoSan
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Shuichi/Hiro, Yuki/Shuichi
Length: ~12,700 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Yuki's been (over)analyzing the relationship between Hiro and Shuichi, and he decides to let them work out their frustrations by giving them what they both so obviously want.
>>: This might also be summarized as "Shuichi and Hiro have an extremely awkward experience due to Yuki's insecure idiocy." It's angsty and kinda weird. Whether you feel Yuki's characterization is accurate or not, this fits in with his behaviour and attitude pretty well. The writing has some odd grammatical errors here and there but it's decent, for a Gravi fic.
Colliding into Sound by R.C. McLachlan
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Yuki/Shuichi
Length: ~3,700 words
Summary: Loving Yuki Eiri is like falling into the ocean.
>>: There are a multitude of angstily romantic Gravi fics about Shuichi struggling to make his relationship with Yuki work, but this one's beautiful. It's built around the song Into the Ocean by Blue October, which really does have lovely lyrics.
Pianissimo Butterfly by Angrybee
Rating: R
Pairing: Ryuichi/Shuichi, Yuki/Shuichi, Ryuichi/other(s)
Length: ~79,000 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: How can a broken person fix another broken person? It never works.
Never.
After Shuichi's messy break up with Yuki, Ryuichi desperately tries to keep his friend from falling down the same path he did (once upon a time).
>>: Angsty. Lots of Ryuichi background, and he's pretty well characterized (and thus the angst isn't completely bitter, because it's interspersed with things like “sparkle dream croissant bunny”). Possibly the best Ryu/Shu fic out there; certainly the best I've seen.
And his name remembered by torch
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Zeus/Ganymede
Length: 198 words
Warnings: drabble, m/m
>>: A pretty little snippet about Ganymede.
Alexander Anderson and the Very Bad Day by Evil Asian Genius
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Length: ~2,400 words
Summary: Even Anderson has those days where he should have just stayed in bed.
>>: This is wonderful. XD
In Spite of Your Fear by Darkness Follows
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Alucard/Seras-ish
Length: ~2,300 words
>>: This is an aimless but nice little story about Seras' devotion to her master.
Reason by Harikari
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Sylar/Mohinder
Length: ~8,300 words
Warnings: wip
Summary: 'In 1985 Mohinder's father moved his family to New York. In New York Mohinder met Gabriel Gray, a quiet boy with a dark secret. A very dangerous boy who very quickly developed an unhealthy attachment to Mohinder, a boy who was willing to do anything to keep Mohinder safe...'
>>: High school fics are a terrible cliché, but this one's pretty interesting. Updates are slow but still happening. Also check out Strange Condition, in which Sylar kidnaps Mohinder after they both have a dangerous encounter with a man whose powers may rival Sylar's own.
The Ghost in the Gears by torolulu
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Sylar/Mohindar
Length: ~2,600 words
Warnings: dubious consent
Summary: 'The many lives of Mohinder Suresh'
>>: Whoa. Rather creepy.
One Moment, One Chance by edonohana
Rating: PG
Pairing: Hiro/Charlie
Length: ~900 words
Summary: 'Hiro can bend the space-time continuum.'
>>: Sad but sweet.
Caught In A Ladder by Sinnatious
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Length: ~65,700 words
Summary: Hikaru's gotten pretty good over the years at keeping Sai's existence a secret, but he starts running out of options when a chance encounter with Ogata turns into a nightmare. Ogata's certain that Hikaru isn't telling him everything, and he has no intention of letting the boy go until he gets his answers ... one way or another.
>>: This story's a little dark and features a somewhat unhinged Ogata, but it's a pretty good read. Very suspenseful towards the end, if not entirely satisfying; I feel like I didn't quite get enough closure after everything poor Hikaru went through.
flowers and go by arboretum
Rating: PG
Pairing: Hikaru/Touya
Length: ~4,500 words
Summary: "Touya, I'm coming to your house. Right now."
There's a slight pause; Hikaru can almost hear Touya make the decision not to be deliberately scathing in his reply. "You just left."
"I know, I know. But don't go anywhere."
Touya sounds more exasperated than bemused when he says, "I wasn't planning on, anyway."
>>: This is another nice piece about the relationship between Hikaru and Touya. ^^ Features clueless!Hikaru and a style of writing that works really well with the story.
Bad Habits by Triste
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Hikaru/Touya
Length: ~2,000 words
Warnings: slight(?) crack
Summary: "I guess what I'm trying to say here is that Sai and I are a two for one deal," Hikaru continued. "We're kind of like twins, only one of us is a thousand years older than the other... and dead."
"Then you're not really like twins at all," said Touya, making Hikaru wrinkle his nose.
"Look, I'm only doing what I can to help. It's difficult to explain anyway, and now Sai is laughing at me from behind his fan."
Sai blinked innocently, but remained silent. Touya cleared his throat.
"Whatever you feel, he feels?" he asked, apparently in need of reassurance, and Hikaru nodded.
"Think of it as me having an orgasm for two," he said.
>>: ...XD;
And I am in Arcadia by Mirabella
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Hikaru/Touya
Length: ~2,300 words
Warnings: au
Summary: A conversation between a cop and a killer.
>>: Ahaha, this is too cool. I'd love to see more of it, but that would probably be really hard to spin. It's perfect like it is.
The Relative Value of Things by Pru
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Ogata/Hikaru, Touya/Hikaru
Length: ~7,900 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Ogata's always been a bit of a bastard, but he's starting to think that this time he may have gone a bit too far.
>>: <3 This is hot and funny and altogether quite enjoyable. I love how Ogata ends up feeling guilty about screwing around with his inexperienced, barely legal colleague, and Hikaru just blows past that, 'oh, don't beat yourself up about it; I wasn't expecting you to marry me or anything,' and the situation with Touya injects just enough seriousness. Pru's other HnG fic, Inertia (in which Hikaru dates and Touya gets married and years go by and they're still best friends/rivals) is lovely, more serious, and probably a better story, so read that too.
Shindou Was Probably Too Young To Drink, Anyway
Game
Set
Match
Issues by Mirabella
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Hikaru/Touya
Length: ~3,400 words
Summary: “It takes Akari yelling at him to get him to realize that when you're eighteen years old, have a successful career, and live on your own, you're really a long way past the point in your life where you should be convinced that girls have cooties.”
>>: Quite nice, and rather funny. ^^ Also see The Art of New Games, in which Touya doesn't know how to flirt. XD
Paper Crane Tales by TeaForRevenge
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Haruhi/Hikaru/Kaoru
Length: ~26,000 words
Warnings: incomplete
Summary: The twins shared everything between themselves, but they'd never really expected to share this.
>>: This is rather lovely, and probably my favourite Host Club fic.♥ TeaForRevenge has done a ton of good stuff. Her stories are mostly Haruhi-centric, and she's done pieces pairing Haruhi up with each of the hosts as well as some very interesting character studies. Every story on her profile is very much worth looking at (even if they could use a little betaing).
Fractured Fairy Tale by Halicarnassus
Rating: R
Pairing: Haruhi/Host Club
Length: ~31,500 words
Warnings: m/m, m/m/f
Summary: After high school, none of the Host Club boys found themselves willing to let go of a certain commoner. After a great deal of persuasion, Haruhi agreed to the obvious solution and they all started living together (in sin, as it were). Of course, they knew there would be consequences. Can their unconventional relationship withstand the pressures of society?
>>: Shamelessly harem, sweet without a whole lot of fluff, and generally a good read. Explores a rarely traveled solution to the harem dilemma.
When House Met Wilson by Pru
Rating: R
Pairing: House/Wilson
Length: ~1,000 words
Summary: 'Truth is a relative thing.'
>>: This is lovely. ^^ Pru's done a few other House fics as well (which are, of course, all quite good) ... including a Cuddy/Wilson/House piece that I'm kind of weirded out by yet can't help but like.
Five Days a Week by Milkshake Butterfly
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: House/Wilson
Length: ~13,200 words
Summary: Five ways House's team found out about him and Wilson.
>>: This is an interesting twist on a Five Things challenge; rather than featuring five different scenarios, it's about a single scenario and five different reactions to it. It's well done and quite funny at turns.
The Rampant Disease by triedunture
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: House/Wilson
Length: ~25,000 words
Summary: Wilson comes back from vacation to find the hospital overrun by zombies!
>>: Best. Zombie. Fic. Ever. XD This is classic.
P O I S O N by Hella
Rating: R
Pairing: Sesshoumaru/Inuyasha
Length: ~160,600 words
Warnings: eventual m/m
Summary: Naraku's dead, the Shikon Jewel has been restored, and Kagome has returned to her own time. Alone and directionless once more, Inuyasha finds himself feeling glad that there's at least one thing in his life he can count on: the undying enmity between himself and his brother. However, even this starts becoming uncertain when a twist of fate leads Sesshoumaru to make a surprising demand of Inuyasha.
>>: I didn't give this story enough credit until I repeatedly burst out laughing while reading the fifth chapter, after which I started paying more attention. Hella put a lot of effort into the characterization and it shows; Inuyasha in particular is extremely well done. Most of the story's humor comes from his sharp tongue and abrasive personality. Of all the stories I've read that attempt to get the brothers to reconcile, this is by far the most realistic.
broken by Za Metallium
Rating: R
Pairing: Naraku/Kagome
Length: ~1,100 words
Warnings: implied ncs
Summary: After learning that he can't harm Kikyo, Naraku goes after Kikyo's look-alike instead.
>>: Dark and disturbing.
Close Your Eyes and Think of England by monimala
Rating: R
Pairing: Veronica/James Bond
Length: ~3,100 words
Warnings: m/f
Summary: It's Spring Break, and Logan and Veronica are on vacation in Monte Carlo. Unfortunately, Logan seems to be more interested in gambling than in spending time with his girlfriend. Veronica finds herself extremely bored and in desperate need of a good martini, so when she meets a witty, dangerously handsome British hunk who, she's quite certain, is totally a spy, she decides to do some investigating.
>>: Veronica Mars / James Bond crossover!! XD Bad puns, good banter, and awesome cliches; this is just perfect. It has four sequels, all of which are just as fantastic.
Alone, Together by Failte200
Rating: R
Pairing: Kim/Shego
Length: ~110,300 words
Warnings: f/f
Summary: When one of Dr. Drakken's experiments goes terribly wrong, Kim and Shego find themselves to be quite literally the last two people on earth.
>>: Lengthy; rather good for a KP fic. Don't worry, no character death (though there be angst aplenty).
A Slight Miscalculation by Nate Grey
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Kim/Shego
Length: ~2,600 words
Summary: 'A mistake nearly costs Kim her life, and Shego saves her. But Shego's rescues aren't free, and the price may be too high for Kim.'
>>: Sexy and light-hearted; some good pre-femslash.
The “On” Series by Nate Grey
Rating: R
Pairing: Shego/Kim, Monique/Ron, one sided Kim/Ron and Kim/Monique, others
Length: ~67,800 words
Warnings: f/f, f/m
>>: One of the best Kigo series out there. Which, okay, isn't saying much, but if you like the pairing this is a fun read. Nice characterization, especially of Shego.
On Sabbatical
Summary: 'When Shego's contract with Drakken runs out, her services are up for grabs. So why is Kim bidding?'
On A Break
Summary: When Ron lets her down Kim goes to Shego to cool off, and ends up getting a bit more than she'd bargained for.
On Board, Baby
Summary: When Professor Dementor hits Kim with a baby ray, Monique and Ron get stuck taking care of a two-year-old Kimmie. Meanwhile, Shego shows Dementor why it's not wise to mess with her friends.
On Being Sheila Gonzalez
Summary: 'Shego has to make some major life changes to adjust to life with the Possibles. But as it turns out, she's not the only one adjusting to her relationship with Kim...'
Fool Me Twice by makokitten
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Sebastian/Ciel
Length: ~81,500 words
Warnings: au, noncon, chanslash
Summary: It’s obsession at first sight when Sebastian, an ordinary student attending university on a basketball scholarship, glimpses 12-year-old Ciel Phantomhive in a crowded airport. Against his better judgment, Sebastian starts stalking the youth and waiting for an opportunity to do more than look. However, there’s more to the young Phantomhive than meets the eye, and Sebastian may have bitten off more than he can chew.
>>: This is an interesting modern, all human interpretation of Kurotsujishi. Despite the differences, the essence of Kurotsujishi is almost perfectly captured and the balance of power between Ciel and Sebastian gets very interesting. Obviously, this is a fairly dark and disturbing story, though I expect mileage to vary quite a bit on exactly how disturbing you find it.
Allow by svilleficrecs
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Vista Guardian / Mac
Length: ~6,700 words
Warnings: m/m, pwp
Summary: "What happened to Cancel or allow?" Mac smirked up at the Guardian, at the growing bulge in the front of his boxers. "I kind of liked that."
The Guardian reached down and grabbed the front of Mac's shirt, hauled him to his feet. "You have chosen, 'Allow all.'"
>>: XDXDXD
Damsel in Distress by the Hoyden
Rating: R
Pairing: Arthur/Merlin
Length: ~4,300 words
Summary: Arthur looked remote and determined, and he said fiercely, "I'll find you. It doesn't matter where you go, I'll find you."
"Don't," Merlin said miserably.
The dragon leaned down to look at the two of them, and it made that strange purring rumble before it drew Merlin back up and launched itself into the sky.
>>: Merlin gets kidnapped by a dragon; Arthur pursues. Very cute. XD
so are they all, all honourable men by Seperis
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Arthur/Merlin
Length: ~18,100 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Christ, Morgana was right; maybe this *is* like a marriage. At least he and Merlin get along better than most of the couples at court; so far as he knows, they have yet to try and stab each other to death in their sleep or run away with a disturbingly underage stableboy or chambermaid in a fit of pique. Considering that Arthur's future wife will be chosen less for compatibility than for her political value, Merlin may be the only marriage he'll have that won't end in bloodshed or a great deal of fortifying wine.
>>: *squees* Just perfect! I didn't really understand the appeal of Merlin slash before I read this, but now I really, really do. And it's awesome. XD;
NGE Theater by WDCain
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Shinji/various
Length: ~192,700 words
Warnings: au, crossover, m/f
Summary: “We're here to show you numerous worlds where da' man himself, Shinji Ikari, is raised by different people. In some worlds, he'll become a kind person while in others, he'll be a little weird. Some stories will be funny while others are dark. But that's the point of this stuff: To entertain you.” The identity of the 'teacher' who raised Shinji from a young age has always been a mystery. This is a series of AUs that explore how Evangelion might go down were Shinji raised by various people from other series. (God help us all...)
>>: Spelling? Grammer? Who cares? Sheer WTF-style entertainment trumps it all. This story is very shounen; it's chalk full of of action-packed fight scenes, Street Fighter and OOCness. (At the very least, this makes me lol.) It's definitely not for everyone, but if you find this entertaining WDCain's got a number of ridiculous yet badass crossovers like this on his profile.
Business As Usual by Za Metallium
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Length: 348 words
Summary: 'A silly little fic starring Ayanami and a gremlin.'
Whisper by Twig
Rating: R
Pairing: Kaworu/Shinji
Length: ~130,000 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: Several years after the destruction of NERV, Shinji is living in a new land and moving on with his life. It hasn't been as gratifying as one might hope. During a near-death experience, the voice he's always longed to hear once more comforts him and promises to return. Could it really be Kaworu?
>>: I found this a bit hard to get into, but it's epic, angsty and exciting and terribly romantic. Twig's a god, seriously. And the Shinji/Kaworu pairing really deserves the love.
Sailor Nothing by Stefan Gagne
Rating: hard R
Pairing: various
Length: ~135,000 words
Warnings: violence, ncs
Summary: My name is Shoutan Himei. I'm sixteen years old, and I'm very tired.
'Being a sailor suited warrior of love and justice is one of the most miserable, thankless, dangerous, and emotionally crippling jobs ever. A bitter little trip into the darker side of shoujo.'
>>: You've probably heard of this story before, and if you haven't read it yet, you should. It's a nice journey.
On Territory by Utopian Trunks
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Leon/D
Length: ~7,600 words
Summary: When some gangsters start threatening the Count, Leon feels compelled to stake out the shop for a while.
>>: Technically this could be called gen, but the subtext's so heavy you could beat someone over the head with it.
Sadie, Sadie by Telanu
Rating: R
Pairing: Leon/D
Length: ~47,000 words
Warnings: m/m (sorta)
Summary: When a bad joke gets Leon thinking about marriage, he realizes that he already knows someone who has everything he's looking for in a potential spouse (never mind the gender). And as we all know, Leon Orcot is a man of action...
>>: This is kind of … interesting. Kinda squicks me out a little, actually, but maybe I just haven't been reading enough PoH slash (it's the hermaphrodite thing, I think). Check out Telanu's other stories too! There's another epic, some nice one-shots, and a bitter little Sandman crossover that's absolutely devastating.
One Reason Burton Guster Loves Shawn Spencer by Harikari
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Shawn/Gus
Length: ~1,100 words
Summary: 'Shawn does something nice for Gus.'
>>: Aww. Just a little snippet of Gus and Shawn's teen years. Good characterization, though I'd expect them to be a little more homophobic.
The Case of the Missing Cockatiel by Gryvon
Rating: R
Pairing: Shawn/Lassiter
Length: ~14,000 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: What if Shawn were really psychic? After an encounter with a mysterious woman from his past, Shawn's predictions suddenly become a lot more accurate. Unfortunately, it turns out that being a real psychic isn't nearly as fun as playing one...
>>: This captures the feeling of the series perfectly, albeit with a slightly more serious and, well, supernatural tone. There's also an awesome sequel, The Case of the Missing Conventioneers.
Rainbow Noir by Jenna
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Length: ~3,500 words
Warnings: crossover
Summary: It's 1952, and Rainbow Land is dead.
>>: I get chills every time I read this. It's freaking brilliant, as is most everything else the author's written.
Crossroads by springgreen
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen, subtextual Jin/Mugen/Fuu
Length: ~2,400 words
Summary: The journey's over, and the three travelers have gone their separate ways. Fuu becomes an expert on mochi. Things work out.
>>: Every time I go to a restaurant that serves mochi, I remember this story and smile. And then I have to buy some. It's just the kind of story I wanted to read after finishing Samurai Champloo. The remix, Moshi Moshi Mochi ("In the Pink" Blues Remix), is also quite lovely.
A Change in Relationship Dynamics by debchan
Rating: R
Pairing: Mugen/Jin, Mugen/Jin/Fuu
Length: ~2,100 words
Warnings: m/m, m/m/f, crack
Summary: "You are not going to goad me into having sex to prove that I won't fall in love with you." In which Mugen has an idea.
>>: Just as ridiculous as it sounds. The quality of writing is high enough to seem slightly odd embroidering a one-shot that's otherwise total crack.
The Work of Chemists by Northlight
Rating: PG
Pairing: Ren/Kyoko
Length: ~4,600 words
Summary: "A good actor can build romantic chemistry where none existed before," Moko explained, "but it isn't the same as a spark that flows naturally between two actors. I respect Mr. Tsuruga very much, but it's difficult to think 'desire' towards him."
"All of Mr. Tsuruga's co-stars fall in love with him," Kyoko said, insulted on Mr. Tsuruga's behalf. Even Kyoko's heart had almost been touched by his love scenes in Dark Moon. Was Moko's heart so much stronger than Kyoko's?
"What kind of a friend do you think I am?" Moko said. "But you--yes, you!," she said, pointing an accusing finger at Kyoko, "could make things a bit easier! How can the audience believe that Natsumi and Jun are truly and deeply in love when Jun and Kyo always look at each other so seriously, and with such longing!"
>>: Fits in perfectly with the manga—this is just so Kyoko. XD;
Märchen: Midwest Arc by Labyrinth1n3
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Kyle/Eric, slight Cartman/Wendy, Cartman/OC, Stan/Kyle, others
Length: ~312,500 words
Warnings: violence, slight dub-con
Summary: 'Eric finds himself at odds when he's forced to decide between leading his own army of Neo Nazis and pursuing a very vulnerable Kyle who is determined to fight for his independence after his turbulent break up with Stan.'
>>: Märchen needs some heavy editing and frequently contains German dialogue that's left untranslated until the end of the chapter, but it's a fascinating story and well worth the read. The relationship between Kyle and Eric is complex and becomes increasingly intense, and watching them bond over German lessons and a mutual hatred for Stan is pretty damn entertaining. XD It took me a while to get into the plot (which involves Cartman leading a Neo Nazi hate group with the foremost goal of preventing them from targeting Kyle) but it's nearly as gripping as the development of Kyle and Eric's relationship, and plays a very important role in it. The characterization is fantastic, and although the story begins with Kyle an emotional wreck, he ultimately becomes one of the strongest characters; he and Cartman are both crazy and ruthless and occasionally very sweet, bringing new depths to the epitomical love/hate relationship. The parts about Nazism and the German language are pretty interesting, too!
And Then the Heroes Came Along by Roga
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Length: ~6,000 words
Warnings: crossover
Summary: 'You would think that grown men would be able to interact with Superman and Batman without turning into thirteen-year-old girls. You would be wrong.'
>>: In which Superman and Batman get dropped into another reality, and are found by the cast of Stargate Atlantis. Too funny. XD
Of Gods and Men by RogueMoon
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Length: ~37,600 words
Warnings: crossover, incomplete
Summary: “It was the most amazing game I've ever seen played. If Heru'ur had been half the strategist that boy was, he wouldn't have lost his attempted coup.
“To win the game, a player must take out his opponents' lead piece. In a straight out fistfight, Atemu wouldn't have lasted past the first blow. Not against Horus Guard. Atemu knew this and upped the stakes of the game just before it started. He said that he would concede defeat if any of Heru'ur's pieces came within three squares of him. The Jaffa never came close and the game was over in five turns. Heru'ur was unconscious on the floor and about to take a killing blow from my best warrior when Atemu called him off, saying that ‘they need not kill the lead to win, only capture it.’”
Mnevis looked Hammond in the eyes, “If Atemu had lived to serve Ra, I firmly believe you would still be under the System Lords' rule.”
SG-1 goes to Egypt to investigate a claim that the Ishtars are being controlled by aliens. Turns out it's true – just not quite in the way they'd expected.
>>: Good crossovers are rare, so I was pleasantly surprised by this. This is a pretty all around average fic – decent writing, coherent plot, believable if somewhat (understandably) OOC characterization; this is a decent story. Yu-Gi-Oh!/SG-1 crossover.
Happily Ever After by Halrloprillalar
Rating: PG
Pairing: Jack/Thor
Length: ~5,700 words
Summary: In which Thor keeps saving Jack, and… Eh, just read it.
>>: XD!
Those Big Dark Eyes by Am-Chau Yarkona
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Jack/Thor (for reals)
Length: ~8,900 words
Warnings: m/m, freaky interspecies intercourse
Summary: Thor's curious about how humans reproduce; Jack agrees to help out with a friendly demonstration. After the weirdness. And the research. And the dinner, and the movie.
>>: Disturbingly funny. Well, more disturbing and funny. And darned well written to boot.
Important Angel Business by Tangles
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Sam/Gabriel, peripheral Dean/Castiel
Length: ~3,300 words
Summary: 'Sam has no idea how Gabriel got his number.'
>>: Gabriel's bored; starts sending Sam random texts. It is hilarious, and also pretty goddamned adorable somehow. Check out Tangles' profile for more awesome Sam/Gabriel and Dean/Castiel, along with equally awesome Sam/Lucifer and all kinds of miscellaneous stuff.
A Progression of Arguments by Alchemy Alice
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Gabriel/Sam
Length: ~1,700 words
Summary: Things start showing up around Sam. Surprisingly useful things. Like the right book in the library is behind the counter, newly returned, when he asks for it. And the photocopier is mysteriously just broken enough to do everything for free. Bizarre herbs and ancient animal carcasses show up at the motel, which is totally gross except that when Sam looks them up, they turn out to be components for extra-awesome hex bags and anti-demon weaponry. 'In which Sam bitches, and Gabriel makes increasingly ridiculous gestures.'
>>: Oh lol. This is cute.
Cops and Graverobbers by Minim Calibre
Rating: R
Pairing: brief Henricksen/Dean, slight Henricksen/OC
Length: ~7,300 words
Warnings: m/m
Summary: 'One's a smart, competent, sensible and cynical federal agent. The other's a wanted felon. Together, they fight crime.'
>>: I had to read this just for the summary. XD Much like Monster's Inspector Runge, Agent Henricksen is investigating a series of unusual missing person cases during his vacation, and decides to temporarily suspend his disbelief in order to enlist the aid of Dean Winchester (Sam is one of the missing people). It's quite well written.
The Battle of Evermore by Hades' Phoenix
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: gen
Length: ~1,400 words
Summary: 'Dean should've known that in a battle of wits over his soul, Lilith would lose to someone who'd actually wanted to be a lawyer.'
>>: *snk*
The incestuous courtship of the antichrist's bride by fleshflutter
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Sam/Dean
Length: ~48,000 words
Warnings: m/m, incest
Summary: 'Sam is trying to become the Antichrist in order to save the world. He has a small army of angels and demons, he has an adoring cult, he has a work of prophecy by Jack Kerouac, and he has Dean. Things are going pretty well until he accidentally signs Dean up as his Beloved Consort, a role that requires sex with the Antichrist on an altar. And that's when things stop going pretty well. Also, the soundtrack to the Apocalypse sucks.'
>>: Oh my god. XD This is equal parts brilliance and hilarity, and oh Lord it's dirty.
What Moms Do by Ridley C. James
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Length: ~3,700 words
>>: Cuuute~ Set when they were children; Sam has a crises at school and Dean comes to the rescue.
How Squire Alan Learned the Noble Art of Pranking by Jay the Nerd Kid
Rating: G
Pairing: gen

Pairing: slight Wednesday/Joel

>>: Wonderfully Addams-ish. :D
Practical by Victoria P.
Rating: PG
Pairing: Peter/Susan
Length: ~1,000 words
Summary: 'Susan learns to be practical.'
>>: Lucy's POV; an interesting take on the characters and Susan's change of heart following The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
The Truth the Girl Knows by Trixen
Rating: R
Pairing: Buffy/Bette
Length: ~4,600 words
Warnings: crossover, f/f, somewhat PWP
Summary: It's hot in Cleveland.
>>: Decent characterization, and the styles of the two shows are blended nicely enough. The story's a little odd for it, but achingly sensual. Takes place after Buffy S7, during The L Word S4.
Thicker Than Water by FletcherFox
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: slight Scar/Sarabi and Mufasa/Sarabi
Length: ~3,200 words
Summary: 'Scar was never Ahadi's son in the sense that Mufasa was. A series of vignettes focusing on the events that turned brothers into enemies.'
>>: Yes, it's Lion King fanfiction. And it provides a very interesting look into Scar's psyche! :D Bit angsty, though.
Life Isn't In C Major by Delphinapterus
Rating: PG
Pairing: gen
Length: ~1,900 words
Summary: 'Vanya wouldn't be the disappointment forever. She had an idea.'
>>: A curious little piece in which Vanya and Diego start a band. It's very much in tune with the comics.
Death of the Virgin by Pigeon
Rating: R
Pairing: Lestat/Lois, Armand/Lois, Lois/OC
Length: ~800 words
Warnings: mention of m/m
Summary: 'Louis and bridges and art galleries and sex and blood and death.'
>>: Beautifully done.
Deadlocked by Demyrie
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Deadlock/Prowl
Length: ~13,700 words
Warnings: ar, b/b (stands for ‘bot/‘bot XP)
Summary: 'TFA. War is his life, and the life of his team. Sari is empty, and Bulkhead perished years ago. Prowl seeks silence and relief in space, but Lockdown offers him something a little more... permanent, and little more enjoyable: control.'
>>: It's a trap! RUN! ^_^; Before this, I gave little thought to the Transformers fandom. They're robots. They transform. They sometimes join hands in a big circle and do a celebratory jig (lol). And then I read this. And I was ... intrigued. Intrigued enough to pounce on the 'what if?' sequel of sorts, Partners. And after blazing through thirty-plus smutty, well-crafted, character-driven chapters I suddenly realized that I cared. ;_; But hey, it's worth it. And the sex scenes are hilarious if you really think about what you're reading. XD
Meet the Moon by YoungBoho
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Eric/Sookie, (anti-) Bill/Sookie, slight Sam/Sookie
Length: ~97,000 words
Warnings: m/f, wip
Summary: 'Eric throws a wrench into Bill's plans, causing him to seek the ultimate vengeance, which puts Sookie in the crossfire. Now Eric has to choose between Sookie and the life he loves.'
>>: This story begins after the Fellowship attack in Dallas. Sookie's struggling with the new feelings inspired by Eric's blood, and it isn't helping that Bill's acting strange while Eric seems much more approachable than usual in the wake of Godric's death. This sets the stage for an emotional roller coaster involving a (genuinely creepy!) haunting and an unconventional but devastating curse that may change Sookie's life forever. Also included are some very steamy scenes between Eric and Sookie. ;)
You Get Your Life Back by Speranza
Rating: PG
Pairing: Eric/Sookie, slight Bill/Sookie
Length: ~8,300 words
Warnings: m/f
Summary: Some days it's hard to feel good about the vampire rights movement, but one thing's for sure: the vampires sure saved radio.
>>: One of the only unqualifiably good True Blood stories I've found, this is a lovely one-shot that mishmashes the essence of True Blood and comes back with Sookie and Eric and monsters and late night radio. And there are zombies! Check it out; you won't be disappointed.
1,001 Louisiana Nights by Nyah
Rating: R
Pairing: Eric/Sookie, mention of Eric/OC's
Length: ~7,500 words
Warnings: au, m/f
Summary: 'Each dawn, he promises to kill her, and each night she tells a tale to save her life.'
>>: This is a fairy tale with a lovely modern twist which combines elements of both the books and the show. It's a little bittersweet but quite funny in a tongue-in-cheek way, and the ending made me laugh out loud. I've been searching for good True Blood/SVM ficcage for a while now, and Nyah's stories are the best I've found so far. She's written many interesting one-shots (almost all Eric/Sookie) and an epic called I Have Gone Out which starts as yet another explanation for why Eric didn't save Sookie in Dead and Gone but eventually develops a reasonably interesting plot. If you have any interest in the fandom's favourite pairing (and perhaps even if you don't), Nyah is definitely a writer to keep an eye on.
Hot Stuff by silly bella
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: slight Edward/Bella and Emmett/Rosalie
Length: ~1,500 words
Summary: I'm telling you, when he was young, people felt that blushing was immodest. They really thought blushing was sexual. Women had a morbid fear of being unable to refrain from blushing. They even had a name for it; ereuthophobia. And Bella blushes all the time.
>>: Siblings teasing siblings. This is actually pretty funny. XD
clear sunny skies (on the morning of the apocalypse) by diu me te amo
Rating: PG-13
Pairing: Jacob/Seth/Leah in a non-incestuous way
Length: ~8,800 words
Warnings: m/f, m/m
Summary: 'So it turns out imprinting doesn't work exactly the way everyone thinks it does.'
>>: In other words, Jacob needs to get out of town for a while so his pack goes on a road trip. I love the way they get together in this! No angst or drama or fluff; just 'oh, hey, wanna have sex?' XD
Someone Else's Memoirs by Pink
Rating: PG
Pairing: Jasper/Bella, Edward/Bella, Jasper/Alice
Length: ~22,700 words
Summary: 'Their skin is sun-starved marble, streaked beneath the surface with pinstripes of raw red - carved by loss, honed by grief. But every vampire, new or old, heals eventually.' What if things had gone differently at the end of Eclipse?
>>: I didn't expect to find many good fics for Twilight, so imagine my shock when I stumbled upon this by chance just after finishing the series. Even if you loathe those books, even if you can't imagine this pairing, this is a gorgeous piece of work and definitely worth a look.
Bowling for Kittens by BlackMamba_esq
Rating: R
Pairing: Wilhelmina/Daniel

Picking Winners by Zhailei
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lamb/Veronica
Length: ~2,600 words
Warnings: m/f
Summary: "Give 'em hell," she muttered under her breath, as the next batter struck out. If she could stick around long enough to see Lamb's team lose, maybe her day wouldn't be a complete waste, after all. Veronica learns she likes to watch; turns out Lamb likes to show off.
>>: Smutty and aimless and well done. XD;
Try This Trick And Spin It by amathela
Rating: NC-17
Pairing: Lamb/Veronica

Rating: R
Pairing: Thorfinn/Canute
Length: ~1,300 words
Summary: In which Thorfinn starts having strange dreams about Prince Canute, and tries to deal with them the only way he knows how.

Eat Your Heart Out by Pru
Rating: PG
Pairing: Domeki/Watanuki
Length: ~4,600 words
Summary: A girl starts making lunches for Domeki, and Watanuki's about to have an aneurysm.
>>: As much as Watanuki normally grates on my nerves, this is cute and spotlessly in character.
